Dalian East Energy Development Co., Ltd (DEED) was founded by Transtion Energy to develop clean energy
projects. On 5 October 2010, DEED put
into service the Huludao Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant, DEED's third
plant in China. Located at the Bohai
Cement Company in Huludao, Liaoning Province, China, the power plant
generates 10 MW of electricity for the customer, Bohai Cement. Bohai
manufactures 5,000 tons of cement per day.
The power plant generates power exclusively from heat that would otherwise be
vented to the atmosphere. The power is used on-site by the cement plant
and supplies 40 percent of the customerís electrical energy
DEED provided the customer with the entire package of financing, design, construction, and operating services.
DEED's other power plants are located in Fujian and Zhejiang provinces.
